About the Rabbitry

Meet Our Family

Holland Lop Hill is a small, family-run rabbitry tucked into the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. What started in 2018 as a love for one Holland Lop has grown into eight years of hand-raising Holland Lop and French Lop bunnies focused on temperament, health, and the kind of socialization that only happens when bunnies grow up around real families.

We are not a kennel. We are not a pet store. Every bunny you see on this site was born in our home, hand-raised in our family room, and socialized daily from birth by real people, including our kids. When a bunny goes home with you, it already knows what humans, children, household sounds, and gentle handling feel like.

We are registered with the American Rabbit Breeders Association under member ID HARPSA02. Holland Lop Hill Rabbitry operates exclusively from Sedona, Arizona. We do not have any other locations, satellite operations, or affiliated breeders elsewhere. If you want to verify our listing, the ARBA breeder directory link is in the banner above.

Our Breeding Commitments

Holland Lops and French Lops thrive when raised with intention. Here is what we commit to with every litter, every bunny, every family who trusts us with a placement.

Planned, Selective Breeding

We do not breed for volume. We breed selectively, evaluating every potential pairing for temperament, color, and conformation to Holland Lop and French Lop type. We track parent lines carefully and make decisions about each litter based on what will produce healthy, well-tempered bunnies, not what will fill orders fastest.

Indoor-Only, Hand-Raised

Every bunny is raised inside our family home, not in a separate barn or shed. Bunnies are handled daily from birth, exposed to family activity, gentle children, household sounds, and grooming routines. This creates the calm, confident, trainable temperament Holland Lops are known for. A barn-raised rabbit and a house-raised rabbit are different animals.

ARBA Breed Standard

We breed to the ARBA Holland Lop and French Lop breed standards. That means correct body type, properly set ears, correct head shape and crown, balanced markings on broken varieties, and breed-correct weight class. We do not breed mixed-type lops or sell crossbreeds as Holland Lops or French Lops.

Eight to Ten Weeks Minimum

No bunny leaves us before eight weeks of age. The standard window is eight to ten weeks, which is when the bunny is fully weaned, eating solids confidently, and developmentally ready to handle the transition to a new home. Early separation is one of the most common causes of GI stasis and behavioral issues in young rabbits. We do not take that risk.

Vet-Checked Before Pickup

Every bunny is health-checked before going home. We confirm proper weight, clear eyes and ears, healthy posture, normal stool, no parasites, and no respiratory or dental concerns. The health-check date is documented in your adoption packet. If a bunny does not pass health check, it stays with us until it does.

Lifetime Breeder Support

Adoption is not the end of our involvement. Every family receives unlimited email support for the life of their bunny. Diet questions, behavior changes, bonding with another rabbit, grooming concerns, vet questions, what to feed during travel: we are reachable at adopt@hollandlophill.com for the lifetime of your bunny.

How It Works

The Adoption Process

We have refined this over eight years to be simple, transparent, and fair to both families and bunnies.

  1. Send an inquiry through our Bunny Inquiry form or email us directly. Tell us which bunny you are interested in, your color and sex preferences, your timeline, and your state if you need shipping.
  2. We respond within 24 hours confirming availability and walking you through next steps, hold deposit amount, and how the rest of the process works for your situation.
  3. Hold deposit reserves your bunny for up to 14 days. The deposit applies directly to the final balance, not on top of it.
  4. Pickup or ship. Local pickup in Sedona is by appointment. For nationwide families, we book a USDA-licensed ground transporter on a scheduled route to your state. Typical delivery is 3 to 5 days.
  5. Go home with everything you need: written health guarantee, care guide, starter portion of the food we feed, and direct email access to us for life.

Our Promise

Health Guarantee

Every bunny placed by us goes home healthy and vet-checked. We back that up with a clear, simple guarantee.

  • Vet-checked before pickup. Health check date is documented in your adoption packet.
  • 72-hour vet visit window. Take your new bunny to your own vet within 72 hours of pickup. If your vet identifies a pre-existing health issue, we make it right.
  • After 72 hours, ongoing health is your responsibility. Continued care, diet, and environment are in your hands.
  • Fully weaned and eating solids before going home (eight to ten weeks minimum).
  • Lifetime breeder support by email for any question, any time, for the life of your bunny.

Perfect for Families and First-Time Owners

Holland Lops are the ideal small pet for families with children, apartment dwellers, and first-time rabbit owners. Their compact size (typically under four pounds at maturity), naturally gentle temperament, and trainable personalities make them excellent indoor companions. French Lops are bigger, calmer, and a great choice for families who want a more substantial cuddly companion.

Every bunny that leaves our home has been handled by children, exposed to other household pets, and given early litter training. We provide a complete first-week care guide covering diet, housing, bonding, and what to expect during the transition. If you have never owned a rabbit before, we will walk you through everything from the first feeding to long-term care. The House Rabbit Society is also an excellent external resource for first-time owners.
