How long has Holland Lop Hill been breeding Holland Lops?
We have been breeding Holland Lops since 2018, making this our 8th year as a dedicated Holland Lop breeder in Sedona, Arizona. We are family-run, ARBA registered, and breed exclusively from planned, pedigreed litters.
Where is Holland Lop Hill located?
We are based in Sedona, Arizona, in the high desert of Northern Arizona. Our rabbitry operates from our private family home, where every Holland Lop is hand-raised indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
Do you breed any rabbit breeds besides Holland Lops?
Yes. While Holland Lops are our specialty and the breed we are best known for, we also breed a small number of pedigreed French Lops each year. Both breeds share the same hand-raised, family-socialized upbringing.
Are you ARBA registered?
Yes, we are registered with the American Rabbit Breeders Association under registration number HARPSA02. Our parent rabbits come from documented pedigreed lines and we breed selectively to maintain breed standard.
Is Holland Lop Hill a hobby rabbitry or a commercial operation?
We are a small, family-run hobby rabbitry. We do not run a pet store, we do not breed for resale, and every bunny goes directly from our home to its forever family. This is intentional and allows us to give each Holland Lop the daily socialization it needs.
2. The Adoption Process
How do I reserve a Holland Lop bunny?

How much is the hold deposit?
The hold deposit is a non-refundable portion of the Holland Lop bunny’s price. The deposit secures your bunny for up to 14 days and applies directly to the final balance. Exact deposit amount is confirmed in your inquiry response.
How do I pay for my Holland Lop?
We accept Apple Pay, Zelle, and Chime for both deposits and final payments. Payment methods and totals are confirmed during your inquiry conversation before any payment is made.
How long does it take to hear back after submitting an inquiry?
We respond to every inquiry within 24 hours, often sooner. If you have not heard back within that window, please check your spam folder and email us directly at adopt@hollandlophill.com.
Can I join a waitlist if no Holland Lop bunnies are currently available?
Yes. We maintain a waitlist for upcoming litters. Send us a Bunny Inquiry indicating your color, sex, and timing preferences, and we will reach out the moment a matching Holland Lop becomes available.
3. Pricing and What’s Included
How much do your Holland Lop bunnies cost?
Our Holland Lop bunnies range from $200 to $250 depending on color, markings, and sex. Specialty colors like Chocolate Otter and Magpie are priced at the higher end, while standard colors start at $200. Exact pricing is listed on each bunny’s profile.
What is included in the adoption fee?
Every adoption includes the Holland Lop bunny, a health guarantee, a written care guide, a starter portion of the food we feed, a pedigree document showing parent lineage, and lifetime email support from us for any questions about your bunny.
Are there any additional fees I should know about?
Local pickup in Sedona has no additional fees. For nationwide adoptions, ground pet transport is an additional cost paid directly to the licensed transporter, which we coordinate on your behalf. Transport pricing varies by destination state and is quoted before you commit.
Do you offer payment plans?
We offer a simple two-payment structure: hold deposit at reservation, balance due before pickup or shipping. We do not currently offer multi-month payment plans.
4. Health, Pedigree and Guarantees
Are your Holland Lops health tested?
Yes. Every Holland Lop bunny that leaves our rabbitry is health checked, weaned, and observed for at least eight weeks before going home. Parents are screened for hereditary issues common to the breed and we keep written health records for each line.
What is your health guarantee?
Every Holland Lop comes with a written health guarantee covering congenital and genetic conditions for the first 30 days after going home. Full guarantee terms are included in the adoption packet you receive with your bunny.
Are your Holland Lops pedigreed?
Yes. Every Holland Lop bunny we sell comes with a written pedigree documenting three generations of parent lineage. Pedigrees include color genetics, weight class, and breed standard notes for each ancestor.
How old are the bunnies when they go home?
Holland Lop bunnies go to their new families at 8 to 10 weeks of age. We do not release any bunny earlier, since the additional socialization time with mom and littermates is critical for long-term temperament and digestive health.
Do your bunnies come vaccinated?
Rabbits in the United States are not routinely vaccinated against the standard diseases, except in regions with active RHDV2 risk. We follow current veterinary guidance for our state and recommend you discuss the RHDV2 vaccine with a rabbit-savvy vet in your area after pickup.
5. Shipping and Pickup
Do you ship Holland Lop bunnies nationwide?
Yes. We coordinate USDA-licensed ground pet transport to every state in the contiguous United States. Transporters specialize in small-animal travel, use climate-controlled vehicles, and provide regular check-in updates during the journey.
How does ground pet transport work?
Once your Holland Lop is reserved and the balance is paid, we book a licensed ground transporter for your region. The driver picks up your bunny from our home in Sedona and delivers directly to your home or a secure meeting point in your city. Most routes complete within 3 to 5 days.
How long does shipping take?
Ground transport typically takes 3 to 5 days depending on your state. Drivers run scheduled routes across the country and we book your bunny onto the nearest available route. We confirm pickup and delivery dates with you before booking.
Can I pick up my Holland Lop in person?
Yes. Local pickup is welcomed by appointment at our rabbitry in Sedona, Arizona. Pickup appointments typically take 30 to 45 minutes and include a health-check meeting, the care guide handoff, and time to bond with your bunny before the journey home.
What does the bunny travel in?
Bunnies travel in a properly sized, ventilated travel carrier with absorbent bedding, fresh hay, and a water source. The transporter checks each bunny at every stop and shares photo updates with you throughout the route.
6. Holland Lop Care Basics
What do Holland Lops eat?

How big do Holland Lops get?
Holland Lops are a true dwarf breed and typically weigh 2 to 4 pounds at full maturity, with most adults landing between 3 and 3.5 pounds. They are one of the smallest lop-eared breeds, which is part of why they make excellent indoor companions.
How long do Holland Lops live?
With proper care, indoor housing, and a quality diet, Holland Lops typically live 7 to 12 years. Indoor rabbits live significantly longer than outdoor rabbits because they are protected from temperature extremes, predators, and parasites.
Can Holland Lops live outside?
We do not recommend outdoor housing for Holland Lops. They are sensitive to temperature extremes, vulnerable to predators, and prone to stress in outdoor environments. Can Holland Lops be litter trained?
Yes. Holland Lops are highly trainable and most can be litter trained within a few weeks of going home. We provide a written litter-training guide with every adoption and begin litter training basics before your bunny leaves us.
7. After You Bring Your Bunny Home
What support do you offer after adoption?
Every family receives lifetime breeder support. You can email us anytime about diet, housing, behavior, grooming, or any other Holland Lop question. We treat every bunny we breed as a long-term commitment to the family that adopts it.
What if my Holland Lop has a health issue after going home?
Contact us immediately at adopt@hollandlophill.com. We will help you assess the situation and connect you with a rabbit-savvy vet in your area if needed. Our health guarantee covers congenital and genetic conditions during the first 30 days.
Can I bond a Holland Lop with my existing rabbit?
Often, yes. Holland Lops are social animals that thrive with another rabbit companion when properly bonded. Bonding requires both rabbits to be spayed or neutered and a slow, structured introduction process. We can share our bonding guidance when the time comes.
8. Visiting Our Rabbitry
Can I visit your rabbitry before adopting?
Yes, by appointment only. Visits are scheduled after your inquiry is confirmed and your hold deposit is received. For your bunny’s safety and our family’s privacy, we do not host walk-in visits or open houses.
What happens during a pickup visit?
Pickup visits typically take 30 to 45 minutes and include a final health check, the handoff of your care guide and pedigree, photos with your bunny, and time to bond before the journey home. We answer any last questions before you leave.
Are children welcome at pickup visits?
Yes. We love when families bring children for the pickup visit, and our Holland Lops are raised around children so they are comfortable with gentle handling. We ask that children remain supervised and that everyone follows basic hygiene protocols during the visit.
