Holland Lop Adoption Process and Sales Policy

At Holland Lop Hill Rabbitry in Sedona, Arizona, we want every adoption to be a smooth, transparent, and joyful experience for both you and your new bunny. This page outlines our full step by step adoption process, deposit policy, health guarantee, and everything you need to know before bringing home one of our pedigreed Holland Lop bunnies.

Step 1: Browse Our Available Holland Lop Bunnies

Start by visiting our Available Bunnies page to view our current listings. Each listing includes the bunny’s name, color variety, sex, price, and availability status. If you do not see a color or variety you are looking for, contact us at adopt@hollandlophill.com to ask about upcoming litters and join our waitlist. We regularly produce litters in rare color varieties including Blue Eyed White, Harlequin, Vienna Marked, and Broken Tort.

Step 2: Submit Your Hold Deposit

Once you have identified the bunny you want to bring home, contact us to confirm availability and arrange your hold deposit. Your hold deposit is non-refundable and removes your chosen bunny from our available inventory immediately. No rabbit is considered reserved without a confirmed deposit. We accept deposits via crypto, Apple Pay, Chime, and cash for local buyers.

Step 3: Prepare for Your New Bunny

While your bunny finishes weaning and reaches the appropriate age for adoption, we recommend setting up your rabbit’s living space in advance. Every Holland Lop we place goes home with a transition packet that includes a supply of the pellet blend and timothy hay your bunny is already eating, so there is no abrupt diet change during the transition. We are happy to answer any care questions during this waiting period. Our Bunny Care Blog is also a great resource for first time rabbit owners.

Step 4: Schedule Pickup or Arrange Transport

Holland Lop bunnies are ready to go home between 8 and 10 weeks of age. At this point we will contact you to schedule your pickup or finalize transport arrangements.

For local buyers in Sedona, Flagstaff, Cottonwood, Prescott, and the surrounding Verde Valley area, pickup is arranged by appointment only at a secure public location in the Sedona or Village of Oak Creek area. Final balance is due in cash at the time of pickup.

For out of state buyers, we coordinate with USDA licensed ground pet transport services to deliver your bunny safely to your door or a secure meeting point in your area. Transport is available to buyers across the United States including California, Texas, Nevada, Colorado, Florida, New York, Oregon, and beyond. Full payment is required before transport is arranged. Visit our Nationwide Ground Transport page for full details on our delivery process.

Step 5: Welcome Your Holland Lop Home

Every Holland Lop bunny that leaves Holland Lop Hill comes with the following:

A supply of the pellet blend your bunny is currently eating to avoid digestive upset during the transition. A portion of the timothy hay your bunny is accustomed to. A printed care guide covering diet, housing, litter training, bonding, and health basics. Full pedigree documentation for rabbits purchased with breeding rights. Our contact information so you can reach us any time with questions after adoption.

Health Guarantee

Every Holland Lop we place leaves our rabbitry healthy, well fed, parasite free, and eating independently. We stand fully behind the quality of our breeding program. We encourage all new owners to schedule a veterinary visit within the first 7 days of bringing their bunny home. If a licensed veterinarian identifies a serious congenital health issue within 7 days of adoption, contact us directly to discuss your situation. We handle all concerns on a case by case basis and are committed to making things right for every family we work with.

Deposit and Payment Policy

Hold deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances. This policy exists to protect our breeding program and ensure only committed buyers reserve our rabbits. Final balances are due in cash at local pickup or in full via approved payment methods before out of state transport is arranged. We accept crypto, Apple Pay, and Chime. We do not accept personal checks.

Waitlist Policy

If the color variety or pairing you want is not currently available, we encourage you to join our waitlist. Email us at adopt@hollandlophill.com with your name, location, preferred color variety, and whether you are looking for a pet only or breeding rights rabbit. Waitlist spots are offered in the order inquiries are received. Joining the waitlist does not require a deposit until a matching bunny is confirmed available for you.

Breeding Rights Policy

All Holland Lop bunnies are sold as pet only unless breeding rights are explicitly requested and agreed upon before the deposit is placed. Breeding rights rabbits come with full 3 generation pedigree documentation and are priced accordingly. Contact us to discuss breeding rights availability on specific pairings and litters.
